Texas' retro uniformsIt was announced a couple of weeks ago but they’ve now officially unveiled the throwback uniforms the Horns will wear against Louisiana-Lafayette. The uniforms will be worn for the September 3rd home game to honor the 1963 national championship team. The burnt orange jerseys are very similar to the current ones, but with the Texas removed from the front. The helmets add orange player numerals above the traditional longhorn logo.

I kind of wish they had decided to wear the throwbacks for the 100th Texas – OU game, but then of course we’d have to wear them forever if we win or burn them if we lost. I guess that game is special enough without any uniform changes.

    Larry,

I know for a fact the University Co-Op had them on Guadalupe in September. I just checked their website though and can’t seem to find them, and no luck at Longhorns Ltd.‘s site either.
