The coach was fired less than one month after suffering a heart attack. That just seems wrong.

He was also diagnosed with diabetes and had some sort of big surgery this year too. Rough 2006.

I’ve got the same thoughts on this one as I did with McCarney and Iowa State, who in the world does UNT think they’re going to get better than Dickey? The guy won four straight conference titles just two years ago.

I can’t believe The mean Grean fired Dickey. I think he got the shaft. As a Utah State Fan I am Familiar with what a quality coach he is. I am very excited to see him come in as our Offensive Coordinator! I am just stunned that he was fired. That is what is wrong with sports today there is no loyalty. No way will we ever see another Joe Paterno with this type of loyalty.

there is no loyalty today, a quality coach was let go when he needed support, the kind of support he gave his players, throughout his career, i hope he is going somewhere that his commitment to his players and his school will be appreciated
