David SnowRivals and other recruiting sites are reporting that Gilmer offensive lineman [tag]David Snow[/tag] is the Longhorns’ first 2008 commitment. Snow has been a heavy Texas lean for a long time and he couldn’t even wait till Texas’ first Junior Day on February 11th to give Mack Brown and Mac McWhorter his pledge. Nothing official yet from David or the Gilmer coaching staff but it sounds like this one is pretty much a done deal.

Not many official rankings out yet for 2008 recruits but Snow is one of the top players in the state of Texas and likely one of the nation’s top offensive lineman. With Tray Allen and the rest of the “class of beef” last year and several other big time targets this year, the Longhorns are building an incredible foundation up front. Future offensive skill position guys have to love the thought playing behind all that talent on the offensive line.
