We’ve had several people emailing asking for video of the [tag]Blaine Irby[/tag] injury and also had several people send us the link, but out of respect for Blaine we’ve decided not to post the video. It is a gruesome and scary injury and right now we’d rather send some good vibes Blaine’s way than rewatch his injury.

If you’re desperate to watch it just head over to YouTube and just search for Blaine Irby and you’ll find it.

Get better soon Blaine. Hook ’em!

Update: Irby’s injury is in fact season ending. (9/21/2008 10:20 pm)

Update: The team has announced that the injury will keep Irby out for the entire 2009 season. (7/24/2009)

Happy to see the respect you are requesting for Blaine and his family. Keeping them in our prayers. Would be nice to know the extent of his injuries as soon as they are available. Either way let him know our family is thinking of him.

Prayers going out to Blaine and his family, I’ve had both knees repaired and it’s a long slow road to recovery.

Glad you aren’t showing it. Poor guy, not something to view. For those of you who didn’t see it just know that it was horrific and only the sick minded would want it to show up in a highlight video.

Many thoughts and prayers sent to Blaine. Blaine is a strong willed young man and can overcome this injury. Here in Arizona we are pulling for him. UT thanks for showing such class in regards to the decision on the video.

hope blaine irby turns out okay. i’m shure he’s fine, but man!. in injury like that to anyone. is just painful. remember watching it at some family’s house. the play didn’t look all that great. but when irby didn’t get up, i knew right there and then. something was tarbly wrong. the fact that this guy wants to come back and play football. is just insane. if it was me. nope not happen. but the fact that all of this happening. made me become an irby fan.. go texas!. and go irby!..
