Who says that college athletes don’t get paid? Because apparently Reggie Bush did pretty well for himself while at USC, considering that his parents were able to move from an apartment outside San Diego to a $757,000 house on Apple Lane. The Pac-10 says that they are investigating the Bush family home, but this is about as obvious as it gets. Michael Michaels (what kind of name is that anyway) is the registered owner of the house and has ties in the sports marketing world. If this violation holds up, USC would have to forfeit all games Bush played in while this infraction took place, although I am not sure how much good that really does, especially since they lost the only game that really mattered against Texas in the Rose Bowl.
What I don’t get about this whole thing is how something like this can go unnoticed for a whole year? Didn’t anyone go and visit Reggie Bush’s family and notice that they are suddenly living like royalty? It seems kind of hard to cover up a three-quarter of a million dollar home.
But honestly, I am really not all that surprised, considering they have a history of committing NCAA violations. And now that we know that Reggie Bush has no integrity, I wonder if this will affect his draft status? Probably not, but I can still hope that Vince somehow makes it to the Texans or Cowboys.

Keep in mind that a $750,000 home in California is probably a $250,000 home in Texas. Still not chump change of course and still blatantly illegal.
I was wondering how it would affect the draft too. I doubt it causes Bush to fall out of the top spot, but then again a little weed made Warren Sapp plummet so you never know. Maybe it’ll make the Texans weary of taking him and more likely to accept a trade offer for the pick now. They should be trading down with the Jets anyways, now they have another reason to.

That home is valued at 750K? WOW. That is a frame home with probally less than 1100 sq feet. You can buy one of those in Texas brand new for like 50K.

This may not be the appropriate place, but I’ve searched & searched for a site to email Reggie Bush.
My son, Orlando, who is now 13, is probably Reggie Bush’s #1 fan. Since he lost his father 5 years ago, his only dream is to become a professional NFL player. He shared many special football moments with his dad & although I love football, I’m not a father. I do all I can to keep him pursuing his goal, but after he attended a summer football camp last year, it’s become more important to me to keep him focused on his dream.
If he would just have the chance to meet his hero (after his dad is no longer here), I think that would make his dream more realistic.
If anyone can help me find any contact information for Reggie Bush, I would be forever in debt.
After losing my husband and the father of my 2 boys, my only dream is to see them fulfill theirs.
This weekend he asked me to drive by his H.S. just to see the field where’s he’s going to play H.S. football to prepare him him for College, then, God willing, drafted to the NFL.
It’s not just a dream, it’s a passion!
