Here’s our projections for how the first round of this Saturday’s NFL Draft will go down. After the first seven picks all hell breaks loose as Matt and I very greatly on who we think goes where. Just one of the many reasons why the NFL Draft is like Christmas and Opening Day rolled into one weekend for both NFL and college football fans.

We’ll have a little further analysis and thoughts on where the other Longhorns like David Thomas and Cedric Griffin will be headed in the next couple of days.

You really think the Cowboys take Sims if Wimbley is still available? Sims is probably a better player (though I think he’s a little overrated), but i think Wimbley is more of the DE/OLB type of guy Parcells wants for the outside spot. In the DeMarcus Ware mold. I wonder if they’d take Cutler if he started to fall? I’ve seen him fall to the Vikings at 17 in some mocks.

True about Wimbley, but I just feel that if Sims really is available at 18 that would be a steal. No way they take Cutler, I doubt Big Bill cares too much about the future right now. Funny how Reggie and Davis are the only two we have in common. Just goes to show you how tough a mock draft is.

That’s true about Parcells mortgaging the Cowboys’ future so he can have one final swan song. The Cowboys have to address the QB spot eventually, they’re going to be in deep trouble very soon if they don’t.
