Puts the Horns at #2 and mocks the Aggies. Well done.

In my opinion, USC and Texas are the obvious #1 and #2, but the teams in the rest of the Top 10 almost seem interchangeable. It seems like so many teams have a new look this year, and I think I will need to see them in action in order to evaluate them better.

So here it is, my Top 25 preseason poll. Feel free to make some comments, as I am always open to learning more about a team (except for OU)…

With both Bush and Leinart at USC, hopefully they will cancel each other out.

Texas has picked up it’s 24th committment of the year in Colorado defensive end/linebacker Lamarr Houston. Houston is a versatile four-star prospect who was recruited to play strongside defensive ends by the Longhorns. He is a nationally sought after athlete and the number two overall player this season in the state of Colorado.

Another big pick up for the Horns and another formidable defensive commitment.

Herbstreit dishes out lots of Longhorn love, but he’s had too much Aggie kool-aid too.
