Jevan is reporting that 4-star Stephenville quarterback Jevan Snead will be in Austin on an official visit Saturday during the Kansas game. Snead is currently a Florida commitment, but with Josh Portis already on campus and the Gators still going hard after Tim Tebow and former Vol Brent Schaeffer reportedly a silent commit, he’s decided to open things back up a little. Texas definitely has a more attractive depth chart.

With good size (6’3″ and 205 pounds) and speed (4.6 forty yard dash), he would fit into the Longhorn’s current offensive scheme nicely. Snead plans on being a Spring enrollee, so expect more news and a final decision soon.
