PJ Tucker and Brad Buckman hoist the Big 12 championship trophyWith today’s thrashing of Oklahoma the Longhorns finish Big 12 play with a 13 – 3 record and a share of the conference title. Since Texas defeated Kansas head-to-head last week, the Horns will be the number one seed at the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship in Dallas this week.

Huge game from Daniel Gibson which will hopefully spark him heading into the next couple of weeks. When he’s hot from the outside it opens up so much for him and the entire team on offense. Today he hit some early 3’s and was able to drive to the basket and create opportunities for himself and his teammates the rest of the game. Gibson finished with 22 points, 6 assists, and no turnovers.

Brad Buckman also had a solid outing in his last game in Austin. A typical, solid Buckman game with 9 points and 7 rebounds. Fellow senior Kenton Paulino didn’t have a spectacular afternoon, but managed the offense well and played solid defense.

Not a perfect game, but solid defense and good shooting let the Horns pull out early and then cruise to the victory with a solid second half. I wish we could play some tourney games at home, we have been a much worse team on the road this lately.

YUP, just as I said, UT sure got good sports players but too bad they cant open the books……….lol……6 on Wonderlick……….lol……..Not a single UT basketball player in the Big 12 Academic first team. Get a clue, college is about academics……….duh

Dude, lay off the punctuation. It’s okay just to use one period after a sentence and not 15.

First off, pretty much everyone agrees that that’s Daniel Gibson’s shorts and not what you wish it was. Unless as someone else said, Nike makes “crotchless compression shorts” now. Even it was a wardrobe malfunction, not sure how it’s classless for a kid to be playing and have an accident like that.

It’s really sad that you try to talk sports trash, get your butt kicked and then try to talk academics trash. Wow, a single Aggie walk-on got above a 3.2 GPA. What an accomplishment!! Texas had 2 scholarship players get Big 12 academic honors and A&M only had one. Also, might want to learn to spell before you try to make fun of someone’s intelligence, it’s “Wonderlic.” Is that all you’ve got?

You sure do spend a lot of time on a UT sports site for an Aggie fan. How many times do you have to get proven wrong before you shut up and don’t come back?

LOL………….wrong………..you must love yourself……just cant see the forrest because of the trees………I guess I’m wrong about classless players that cant even wear underwear, that the Aggies were not the ones that lost scholarships becuse of grades. The quarterback that went Pro after his Junior year, becasue its obvious now that he would have never graduated. And that the best thing that has come out of UT football program in years is a pot head……..well i guess i’m another dumb Texan that has no clue and wrong again huh………..you are just to funny

Wow. You may be one of the more delusional Aggies I’ve ever seen, and that says a lot.

Charlie, do you know why you go to college? I know you probably never went to one, but the purpose is to prepare yourself for your career and I’m pretty sure Vince Young did a darn good job of that.

I get it now, UT does not have higher educated sports programs, they are just farm clubs…………..I guess i dont really need to repeat the obvious do I.

Charlie, I love how you talk about academics so much, yet you have such a tough time spelling or even writing coherent sentences. By the way, it is “forest”, not “forrest”.

And what exactly is your point? You seem to spout off this and that, yet never make any sort of argument…

Boy you guys that run this site are really chumps. 1st you guys like to make fun of Aggies. Then someone posts comments making fun of UT folks. Then the only recourse you can think of is attacking the person that’s doing the same thing you are. Go figure, you got about as much class as your boy on the basketball court hanging his wanger out!

Actually, we’ve pointed out you were wrong over and over again but you can’t seem to comprehend it. All the stats, rankings, and other proof in the world just flies right over your head. I guess that’s going to happen when you’re head is in the sand.

And Texas baseball lost scholarships because of players leaving early for the pros, not because of grades:

“NCAA President Myles Brand acknowledged that some of baseball’s problems might be caused by the number of players who were drafted by major-league teams after their junior seasons.”

I guess the Aggies don’t have that problem, though we’ll find out soon since A&M is one of just a few schools who haven’t been notified of the results yet.

Boy you guys think so highly of yourself that you think the NCAA President speaks for UT…lol….And I guess you think the word MIGHT means absolute. And if there are a bunch of UT baseball players that enter the draft, they seem to not have much of a choice because they eat the covers off their school books instead of reading them….once again the obviuos…..

Since when is college about academics? College is about having fun, meeting people and oh yeah, going to class. I am completely confused how somebody’s johnson hanging out of his shorts (if it is even really that), has anything to do with class. Sounds more like penis envy. Charlie, what is your point? If your point is about academics, then you are wrong. UT’s business program is top notch in the nation not to mention Texas alone. If you are talking about genetically enhanced chickens, OK Texas Atm wins that one. Besides if it is so OBVIOUS and TOO funny to make fun of these longhorns, why do you keep doing it? Again, sounds like penis envy.

OH yes I sure would love to be out of touch with the rest of the great state of Texas and so liberal. I heard that Big Bertha had a sex change and it’s now big Bert and there was a new mascott on campus named Shevo. LOL sure wish I could be a Longhorn……

That is hilarious. You are attacking the freaking band! Who cares about a band. You could at least bring up there hideously awful uniforms or something, but no no, you attacked the freaking drum. What’s next, the Clarinet. No, how about the whole percussion section. Wow. I have many an aggie friend, they are excited about there basketball team, hopeful that Francione can somehow pull his head out. But you, you are definately focusing on what is important. The band.
