Our good friend the Wiz has video of Texas A&M’s Kellen Heard’s cheap shot on Colt McCoy near the end of Friday’s game. Heard’s hit was late (McCoy was already unbuckling his chin strap), high, and from behind. Not exactly an unexpected move from a kid who wanted to be a Miami Hurricane but didn’t have the academics to get in.

Man was that an ugly pass, Colt clearly wasn’t 100% and had faded by late in the game. Longhorn fans better hope he’s really full strength by the bowl game.

get over it, it wasn’t as bad as it appears on the ABC replay.

    Fiesta Bowl -> Fiesta Texas?

does it make you sick to know that it all comes down to WVU vs. Rutgers?

It may have been a little late but that hit and Bennett’s shows how fragile Colt realy is. He doesnt have the stature to go on to the Pro’s and may not have it for College ball.

Look at this and you will see someone that can take a hit.

McGee gets up and taunts his attackers but the little Colt can just lay there. Doesnt the name Colt mean anything to you? He sure isnt a stallion.

Brad you may be the only Aggie out there with a little class. Your compadres are really showing their ass lately.

TX900s, he was already injured, when you’ve already got a neck/shoulder injury and take those hits it has nothing to do with fragility. To say McCoy can’t take a hit you must not have watched him all season long. He took plenty of big hits and just got up and continued to do his thing.

Plus, there’s a big difference to absorbing a blow you know is coming when running the ball and being blindsided.

“It may have been a little late…” are you kidding me? How ignorant can you be to try and defend that late hit in anyway shape or form. Heard should of gone to Miami, he would have been a perfect fit in that brawl they had earlier in the season. And I wouldn’t worry too much about Colts stature for the pros. The NFL does a much better job protecting their QB’s…

Andy, I think Brad probably watched the News8 Austin video from the south end zone, which showed the hit wasn’t quite as late as it seemed on ABC. In fact, it really doesn’t look late at all.

I still think it was uncalled for, and I think Heard is bad for the team.

Ya, that was a such a dumb a** hit, that guy is a punk dumb a** from AnM, and he’s prolly gay too lookin at him. Ya Colt will definitly be a good quarterback in the future, he already did good this year.

    John

Yeah, I couldn’t agree with you more James. That guy is a dumb a** and is a prolly never goin anywhere but out of the stadium. Yeah, Andy, he should have gone to Miami, so he could have fought in that brawl just like all those other dumb a’s. Oh yeah, and McCaoy can take a hit, he took them all season long sucka!

    Your Daddy

Ya that’s right TX900s, this is from your daddy! McGee is a wanna be Vince, he is really not that good, and he thinks that he is a bad a**, but he really just went to cry with Franchione when they losted to Tech and Oklahoma. So ya, when A&M wins another National Championship let me know alright playa?

Isn’t that a Texas Helmet I see at the bottom of the screen at 1:15. It sure does look like that guy seems to think the play is still going on.

I was there and it WAS that bad. If you watch the first replay of the interception you can plainly see #91 Heard watching the pass travel to his teammate. Then he apparently turned and headed for Colt. There is absolutely no question that he knew that he was taking out an unexpecting player. Colt even was using both hands to adjust his helmet at the time. It’s a little tough to do that if you’re the quarterback and still in the play. Through the years I had respected the rival Aggies, but this performance has changed all that. Go Cal Bears!

fact is, this is football. the pass was intercepted and still in play. heard was simply blocking for dodge. mccoy’s not too bright for letting his guard down while the ball was still in play. however, heard shouldn’t have even bothered…it’s not like mccoy accomplished much that game anyway

    THIS IS FOOTBALL!

OHG, you people are such babies. Cheap shots, late hits, throwing at batters, etc, etc, etc, etc, the list goes on and on. It’s called emotions and when atheletes get fired up, it’s hard to control emotions. The people upset on this site are the ones who either don’t have the sac to play sports or should start rooting for Abilene Christian.

Texas won a national Championship. Hey, I thought Vince Young won it . Also isn’t sad that Texas go beat by some fighting farmers and a couple of volunteers (12th man). I’m proud to be a AGGIE Fan and not a front runner.

    A&M>tu

If Cart could take hits he would not have been knocked out of the KSU game and A&M game last year. And if he was as injured as so many of you sensitive horns were saying he was then why the heck was he playing in the A&M game in such a fragile state? Guess he couldn’t take a hit after all.

Cart should have known better than to act like the play was over just because he threw an interception. At that point he is a defender and Heard has a right to block him.

    38-30
    A&M over tu AGAIN

Except the runner was down and the play was actually over. Nice to see you guys still think serious neck injuries are funny, it sure makes non-UT fans and national media know what classless scumbags you really are.

    Hook'em Horns

Its funny when the lil aggies mention killing UT, because I dont see where the get it from. 12-7 is not a killing and 38-30 is not a killing. Especially when a&m had the ball for over 30 minutes just to score 38 points and we had it for 19:00 minutes coming up with 30 points. We can obviously get the job done alot faster, if the “slow” aggies wouldnt take up so much time going over things more than once.

    Hook'em Horns

UT: Renovated stadium, 90,000 + fans, and McCoy is out of his sophomore slump. Lets see how this year is going to be. Our only problem is our running game in my opnion. We have one of the best offensive lines and our defensive is going to be much faster than last year especially up front. Hook’em
