Vince Young

On the heels of winning the Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year award at the Super Bowl, [tag]Vince Young[/tag] has just been named to his first Pro Bowl (as a Rookie!), replacing Philip Rivers who could not go because of an injury.

Actually, VY was the second alternate behind Tom Brady, who probably withdrew because he was mad he wasn’t selected initially. As a player, you probably don’t want to go as an alternate, but I see this as only the first of many Pro Bowls to come for Vince Young.

So congrats to VY on a great season and getting rewarded for it. He deserves it.

I watched last year’s Rose Bowl last year and determined at that moment that I wanted The Titans to draft him.

I almost cried when he was still available when it was our turn to pick. Since then, I’ve really been on a Vince Fever High.

I know if Merril Hoge had his way, Vince would have never been drafted, never had a start, never made Offensive ROY, THE ROY, or the Pro Bowl.

I feel for the Houston Texan fans who wanted Vince Young, but I am glad they get to see him play in the Pro Bowl.
