Gail Goestenkors is reportedly leaving Duke for Texas. Very nice replacement for Conradt.

Joe Alleva is the biggest reason Gail is leaving and I can’t blame her. Until yesterday he seemed completely ambivalent about her departure. Hopefully Texas values women’s sports more than Duke.

The message boards have been surprisingly active with discussions on the search for Jody Conradt’s replacement. I’m not sure how much fan interest there is in comparison to Duke, but I do know the university and athletic department put a lot of focus on making Texas’ men’s and women’s programs the best in the nation.
