Well lookie here, the Texas Longhorns are the new number one team in the land. After the team’s big win over [tag]Oklahoma[/tag] the team vaulted from number five in both polls to the very top. Huge shakeup this week with losses in the top five by OU, Missouri, and LSU, but in the AP poll the Sooners surprisingly only fell to number four. [tag]Alabama[/tag] is a very close second in both polls followed by [tag]Penn State[/tag].
This week’s opponent [tag]Missouri[/tag] fell out of the top ten with a loss, but they’re still a very good team and it doesn’t get easier after them. Due to the way the schedules lay out, the Longhorns could actually face two more top five teams in [tag]Oklahoma State[/tag] and [tag]Texas Tech[/tag] if they win the games they should and stay undefeated.

Not really sure I like being #1. Too much pressure and no one seems to be able to keep that spot.

Texas deserves their ranking. They played an outstanding game and beat OU. A combination of poor defense and poor coaching was too costly for the Sooners. You team has earned bragging rights and they earned their right to sing that retarted Eyes of Texas song after the game. To be honest with you, I don’t see any other team in the Big 12 that can beat Texas. UT beat OU, and OU is the other best team in the Big 12. I think UT will manhandle Mizzou. In order to beat Mizzou, your team needs to bring pressure to Chase Daniel, something UT shouldn’t have a problem doing. Once pressure is applied, Chase Daniel will get rattled and will start throwing interceptions. Once that happens, Mizzou is beat. You will then see Daniel crying like a little B!tch on the sidelines and beware, Daniel might try to punch one of your defenders. Thats the difference between Bradford and Daniel. Bradford was being pressured the whole game against Texas and still made excellent passes. Not to mention, he threw for 5 touchdowns. Sam Bradford is a stud and anyone who thinks different is an idiot. As to the UT schdule, the only team that I can see being able to beat them is Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are quite impressive this year. However, UT has them in Austin which should be to their advantage. However, Texas has shown that they can be wooped in their home stadium so you never know. Take Kansas State for example. But anyways, congrats to UT for beating OU. OU/UT proved that the Big 12 is the best conference. And Sam Bradford proved that he is the best QB in the nation….
