Maybe the toughest interview I’ve ever seen, Texas quarterback [tag]Colt McCoy[/tag] talks to ABC/ESPN immediately after the BCS title game:

Personally, a truly crushing end to a Longhorn legend’s career. Colt is a great Longhorn and a great young man. He was broken hearted yet strong, grateful, and gracious. Best of luck Colt, we’ll be rooting for you.

Thank you Colt McCoy for every ounce you gave to this team! God bless you! You will live in out hearts as one the the greatest to ever put on the burnt orange jersey! Not only will you live on for your success as a quarterback, but as the role model that future generations need! I hope that when I have a son, he will grow up watching you play at the next level and hear your inspiration as a christian and want to be just like you! If I ever get to meet you before we meet in heaven, I would love to shake your hand and just say thanks.

VERY well said Kevin!! I have always thought very highly of Colt’s charachter and how he interacts wiht the public and the media. this shows what an outstanding person he is. He is not only an excellent quarterback, but a generally good person! I feel bad for him because he looks like he wants to cry in this clip *and that makes me want to cry!* but I wish the Horns could have taken it all the way for him so he could go out in stye! On another note, Garrett Gilbert did excellent concidering this is his first field time under pressure, and once he calmed down he did good. He will bring the horns in for another Championship game, I have a feeling. Kudos to my Horns on an awesome team and an awesome season! HOOK EM!

Wow! What an incredible athlete and person Colt McCoy is! It is wonderful how he lets God handle things! He is a great example to all young athletes! I cried watching him standing on the sidelines… his last game as a Longhorn. Garrett Gilbert has nothing to be ashamed of… instead of people dissing him they need to go out there and play in a National Championship game as a last second option. He did an excellent job. The Longhorns are still amazing! 2nd isn’t bad AT ALL! It killed me to watch him on the sidelines wishing he was out there! But in the NFL he wont sit the bench.. he’ll be the best they’ve seen! Im gonna miss you Colt and Jordan Shipley… best of luck and always keep the faith! Hook Em’!

I have watched colt mccoy for 4 years from his freshman year playing ohio state all the way through his senior year. And all I can remember is how humble the kid is. He is the best qb to ever play in the big12. clot has played amazing for 4 years and i have enjoyed every second of it. So colt I would like to say from all the longhorn faithful thank you and god bless
