Not much of a weekend nationally as the the Oklahoma – Missouri game is the only game between two ranked teams this weekend. Lots of other interesting Big 12 match-ups this week too. I’m of course hoping Texas at Texas Tech is a dominating Texas win, but there’s a good chance it’s a high scoring, exciting game. Texas A&M is at their biggest rival Baylor in a game that’s been close the last several years, though the game doesn’t look like it’s even being televised.
Here’s our picks for the games this weekend:
Brian Last week: 9 – 3 Year to date: 76 – 21 |
Matt Last week: 11 – 1 Year to date: 87 – 10 |

i guess Battle of the Brazos is a term only used by schools on I-35.

Still cocky after barely escaping against Okie Lite? 🙂 Should be a good game, I can’t believe it’s not on TV somewhere.
Also might want to try using Google, several articles from The Battalion are among the first results for “Battle of the Brazos.”

Stewart Mandel of Sports Illistrauted has lost his mind. In this week’s weekend kickoff Mandel picks Texas Tech to Upset No. 5 Texas 34-31. His reasoning? Texas can not handel Texas Tech’s air attack? Watch the Horn’s defense allow less than 50 yards passing this weekend. What an idiot!

Yeah I saw that Fumbles. The Horns have definitely struggled against the pass this year (especially the big play) but these aren’t last year’s Red Raiders. Plus, the Horns have gotten killed by the play-action pass and Tech has no run threat.

the batt is an embarassment..and i photog for them.
be very afraid of tech, Harrell is due to come back out of his haze..and yall’s secondary allowed a less-than stellar Zac Taylor to put up 277 last week.

First article on the Battalion has aggies as No 16 ranked. Ranked where? I can’t find them higher than 20th or so?
Any ideas on that one?

Wow Brian, a losing weekend. I didn’t even think that was possible.
I didn’t do so hot either, but I definitely don’t mind be wrong about the USC game. Hook ’em.

obviously this is a ut website, but just for you “longhorns” bandwagoners who dont know, baylor a&m game is not important to aggies. the a&m ut game is. just so you know its been played for the last 110 years. but way to know nothing about football.

Man I thought Mizzou would paste Oklahoma. Guess I should have learned by now that no matter what the records the Big 12 North will always lose to the Big 12 South.
I was close on the South Carolina vs Tennessee game though. I think every upset I’ve picked this year and missed have come real close though.

Ha…Garrett is not so clearly talking about “Texas A&M is at their biggest rival Baylor”. I can appreciate the dig. Gig’em.

Baylor is only their biggest rival because their games are usually so close. The games against Texas are pretty one-sided.
