WTH?! (What the Heck?) moments are attempts to find the memorable and the off-beat perspective on Longhorns sports. Here are some interesting moments from the Texas’ game against the Cowboys.

Brandon Weeden steps out of the end zone

Texas was a half step away from a game changing defensive TD by Blake Gideon.

Pre-Game (15:00) WTH Fans?! The Longhorns are 4-1 and need some support after the Oklahoma beat down, and the UT fans struggle to get to the game. Announced attendance was 100,101 but there were clearly tons of empty seats.

1st Quarter (9:49) WTH Ash?! We now know who the QB is for the moment. David Ash played the entire game. The freshmen mistakes keep coming with an interception driving into OSU territory. The best bet for the Horns is one signal caller. Hope the turnover bug will get flushed out of Ash soon.

2nd Quarter (14:46) WTH Brown?! Great day by Malcolm Brown with the first of his two touchdowns to start the second quarter. Brown finished with his first century day of his career (135 yards) with many more to come.

Halftime WTH Band?! Great job the Longhorn Band. Love the Beatles!

3rd Quarter (14:36) WTH Fireworks?! I will probably never see this again. Back to Back kick return for touchdowns by OSU Justin Gilbert and then by Texas’ Fozzy Whittaker. Fozzy has been the first half MVP and needs to change his name from Captain America to Superman.

4th Quarter (12:01) WTH Red Zone?! Hope this is not a replay of just coming up short when trying to hit pay dirt. UT missed on two chances inside the red zone for TD’s. The killer was the short pass in the flat from David Ash to Fozzy who lost his balance and just came up short on 4th down.

4th Quarter (11:29) WTH Sean?! After watching the television replay, I feel compelled to tell broadcaster Sean McDonough to shut the hell up. He directed his comments at the Longhorns in the stand to quit booing the ref and start cheering for your team on the Brandon Weeden safety. The crowd saw the interception by Blake Gideon for a score, not the monitor shot of Brandon’s foot out of the end zone which the refs called. You want to critique fans Sean change your occupation to a therapist.

Next up for the Longhorns are the Jayhawks as they host Kansas on Oct. 29th.

Thanks for following my WTH articles throughout the season. I appreciate the opportunity to rant about the greatest University sports program in the country. You can continue to follow comments on all of UT sports on Twitter at 40AcresSports or follow me at Horns1991. HOOK EM!!
