Just a reminder (if you don’t check the BevoSports Longhorn calendar daily) that the men’s basketball team will be facing off against the Michigan State Spartans on ESPN2 tonight at 8pm Central. Since my cable sucks and I don’t get ESPNU it’ll be my first chance to see the Horns in action this season. Should be interesting to see what Kevin Durant, Damion James, and DJ Augustin can do against their stiffest competition so far.
A look at the departures and the newcomers for next season.
Some pretty good praise coming from the Ravens defense.
There’s apparently an incredibly superstitious and psychotic Longhorn fan making threats to Doug Flutie and his family. The “fan” lives in California (figures) and believes Flutie’s comments before the game that Texas could only lose if Colt McCoy got hurt jinxed the Horns and caused the upset loss to Kansas State.
“We have intentions of finding this person and speaking to this person, said [police Lt. Paul] Shastany. “As threats go, it’s a pretty serious incident.
Although the exact nature of the threat was not disclosed, the man, who investigators believe lives in California, wrote, “You jinxed the Longhorn faithful and a chance at the national title, Shastany said.
“He was upset, wishing bad will and speaking badly about his family, said Shastany. “At this point, the information is disconcerting enough to follow this up the best we can.
There’s lots of blame to go around for the loss, but if we’re pointing fingers and making threats Doug Flutie is probably the last guy on my list. Hopefully they catch this guy, anybody that threatens a guy’s family needs to be locked up for a long time.
UT pass defense is setting records for crappiness.
My rambling attempt to figure out what happened Saturday.
