Finally. The best source for college sports coverage on the Web Rivals.com has upgraded their video player to allow embedding of video on other websites. They’re only allowing other sites to post non-premium videos so it doesn’t look like there will be a ton of free recruit videos but their features and highlight packages are also good and much of that content available.

Some of the better recent Texas videos are below…

A video breakdown of Colt McCoy’s day versus [tag]Kansas[/tag]:

Rivals Minute’s Ashley Russell discusses [tag]Will Muschamp[/tag]:

Some video has been posted on the Statesman’s site of the Will Muschamp announcement from yesterday featuring comments from AD [tag]DeLoss Dodds[/tag] talking about the continuity of the program and why they locked him up with this deal. Muschamp also has some really good comments about why he took the deal and how much his family loves Austin. [tag]Mack Brown[/tag] gives Coach Boom some very high praise and discusses the supposedly non-existent timetable for when he’ll step down.

The Longhorns prevailed Saturday in a 35 – 7 win over the Kansas Jayhawks on the road. Road wins in the Big 12 should never be taken for granted, especially with weather conditions including a 30 MPH wind and 30 degree temps. Quarterback [tag]Colt McCoy[/tag] had a good day both on the ground and through the air, but the star of the afternoon was Will Muschamp’s defense. Watch brief highlights of the game below:

Former Longhorns [tag]TJ Ford[/tag] and [tag]Kevin Durant[/tag] matched up Monday night and both had big games. Ford’s Pacers pulled out the win thanks in big part to his 11 fourth quarter points. TJ finished the game close to a triple double with 24 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds. Durant kept the Thunder in it by leading all scorers with 37 points and chipping in eight rebounds.

The team jumped out to a quick lead but mistakes including two interceptions by [tag]Colt McCoy[/tag] let the Bears tie up the game. Absolutely fantastic play by a couple of high school football players from Lassiter High School in Marietta, Georgia. A high pass in the back of the end zone and tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen volleys it back into play and his teammate grabbed it for the touchdown.

Might be one of the best, smartest plays I’ve seen. Check it out:

Wow. What a tough, heartbreaking loss to take. The Longhorns fell in the last seconds to the Red Raiders and may have had both their national title and Big 12 title hopes dashed in less than 90 seconds. Bevo Sports will have additional postmortem on the game in the next couple of days, for now watch the ESPN highlights below if you have masochistic streak:

We all know how good Brian Orakpo has been on the field this season, but wait until you see what he can do in the weight room. Pretty scary.

It wasn’t the high scoring game most of us expected but the number one Texas Longhorns were able to hold off a valiant effort from number six Oklahoma State Cowboys yesterday. The Horns got in front early and stayed there but the game was tight through out and the team had to stop a hail mary attempt on the game’s final play to win.

Watch highlights and post game interviews below:
