Complete 2006 NCAAF Schedule

I just received this great email with the full 2006 NCAA Football Schedule all compiled into an Excel spreadsheet and thought I would share it with everyone. Vince Young's LogoVince Young hasn’t even played a down yet in the NFL, but already Reebok is showing their confidence in VY by giving him is own logo. [tag]Vince Young[/tag] had input in the design of his new logo, which is a small V inside of a big Y, in a sort of shield or crest.

Not too many players get their own logo (Tiger & Jordan), and I can’t remember a player who got his own logo before even playing pro. Is he going live up to the likenesses of Tiger or Jordan? Probably an impossible task, but it will sure be fun to watch Vince try.

Update: Here is a photo of the actual logo, courtesy of BurntOrangeNation.

Oklahoma Not OkGet ready for some down years in recruiting for those Oklahoma boys up in Norman and Stillwater. Yesterday the Seattle Sonics were sold to a business group from Oklahoma City for a whopping $350 million (those casinos up there must be doing better than I thought).

Now this has to worry all of the OU and OSU fans out there. I mean where will the money come from to “solicit” all of their recruits? How will they afford all of the Texas players they keep getting. In the near future I expect to see a lot of decommits coming from the Sooners and Cowboys, and possibly even some transfers.

My question is if anyone warned ole Stooper about this? He can’t be too pleased about this. Not only will he probably lose some players over this, but he will probably lose about $1 million in under-the-table bonuses that he usually receives. How will he feed his family?

“If you had a perfect season and were still considered second best wouldn’t you have a chip on your shoulder?”

Wasn’t USC supposed to have one of the best teams of all-time? Oops…I guess next time ESPN will do those kind of polls AFTER the National Championship game.

And man, they still keep referencing that USC had previously won back-to-back championships. Apparently they haven’t heard about USC’s One-Peat.

On Tuesday Drew Stubbs became the highest Texas Longhorn draft pick taken in the MLB draft since 1992 when Calvin Murray was taken with the 7th pick. The Atlanta, TX native Drew Stubbs was chosen with the 8th pick overall by the Cincinnati Reds. Longhorn pitcher Kyle McCulloch was also taken in the first round, with the World Series Champion Chicago White Sox selecting him with the 29th overall pick.

This makes it 13 Texas Longhorn that have been selected in the first round since Augie Garrido has been at the helm, and the second time in the last 2 years that two UT players were selected in the first round.
