Vince to serve as host and Houston tour guide all week long.
The Longhorns struggled to put away the Aggies on the court Saturday but the Texas student section certainly came prepared. There was a milk man/yell leader wearing his pink belt giving some love to a sheep. The Seattle Seahawk made a special trip the day before Super Bowl XL to weigh in on the 12th Man™ trademark controversy. Funny stuff.
Also check out video of all three here. (Photo and video courtesy Hornfans.)
Both Williams and Atchley have already logged minutes in the first half tonight.
Returning for his junior season still an option, though I can’t imagine passing on lottery pick money.
Horns not consistent, but Tucker dominates with 18 second half points.
Not going to win many games when bank shot 3’s are falling in & you miss free throws.
LaMarcus Aldridge is making a case for being one of the top couple of picks.
Kid will be tough once he gets on campus and hits the weight room. (via)
Texas blows out Oklahoma State on national TV to run their winning streak to nine games. Team is really rolling since Daniel Gibson moved away from the point and has been able to focus on scoring. He’s been lights out from 3 lately and Kenton Paulino and AJ Abrams have been more than able handling the ball. And the 2-3 zone defense has been downight Syracusian. If we’re playing like this in March will be able to make a run.
Be sure to check out the highlights for PJ Tucker’s alley oop dunk, pretty sick.
The Horns take on the Sooners in Norman Saturday at 8 p.m. on ESPN 2.
Just when I thought NCAA basketball officiating couldn’t get any worse, the freaking refs called a technical on Houston Cougars coach Tom Penders for collapsing on the court.
While he didn’t exactly leave Texas on the best of terms and he seems to think Texas is scared of his very average basketball team, he did a lot for Longhorn basketball and I’m glad it looks like he’s going to be okay. Always scary when something like that happens.
