Texas’ six signees give them the fifth overall ranked class.
Augustin will sign on Thursday. Football really needs an early signing period.
All this excitement about the team is getting me really fired up for Dec. 10th at Duke.
In what is shaping up to be a monumental recruiting class, the Texas basketball team can now add top national point guard DJ Augustin to the list of commits. The 5’11” Augustin out of Houston, displaced from New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina, is 2006’s sixth commit and chose Texas over LSU.
Rick Barnes needs a raise and a packed Erwin Center.
Seriously? Nice team name. I guess since Chico’s Bail Bonds was already taken…
16 points, 14 assists, and one rebound short of a triple double.
Nebraska big man [tag]Matt Hill[/tag] has become Rick Barnes and the Texas basketball team’s fifth committment of the 2006 class. Hill, in addition to having an absolutely fantastic afro, is a 6’10” PF/C from Lincoln who moves well and is an excellent scorer. He and fellow 2006 commit Dexter Pittman will team up to create a pretty formidable inside duo when they hit the Forty Acres in 2006. The class now is made up of the two big men, top rated small forward Kevin Durant, and two excellent guards in Harrison Smith and Justin Mason. That’s a pretty solid starting five.
Rick Barnes is making basketball recruiting almost as exciting as football recruiting, let’s hope our fans get out there and show him and the team our support when they begin the season next month.
Impressed with our front and back court talent, they predict a Final 4 finish.
Basketball team is getting a lot of preseason love.
