D.J. Augustin says he’ll be back next year, and says Durant is telling teammates he’ll be back too.
Holy crap.
After one of the most incredible first half performances I’ve ever seen, [tag]Kevin Durant[/tag] stepped on the ankle of a Kansas defender and went down. Looked to have somehow injured both ankles and limped into the locker room with his left ankle not looking so good.
Crap.
Update: Durant came back onto the court after a few minutes in the locker room and was able to reenter the game. Definitely not 100% he was hobbling a little and not able to get up and down the court at full speed. Didn’t look like it was bad enough to effect his shot but it could definitely wear on him during a game if it’s not fully healed by the Big 12 Tournament.
Kevin Durant in a class all his own. Pretty amazing that 30 points and 16 rebounds is an “ordinary” night.
Fantastic article on the making of Kevin Durant. Great kid with a bunch of great people supporting him.
Arguing that Kevin Durant should be national player of the year and Acie Law should win Big 12 POY is just dumb. (via)
Kevin Durant’s father says, “There’s a chance he would come back to Texas next year. There’s not a rush for him to go to the NBA.”
More love for KD as player of the year and to be the number one pick in the draft.
Ok, well obviously [tag]Kevin Durant[/tag] is not yet named the Player of the Year in college basketball, but Grant Wahl from Sports Illustrated is already saying that Durant should be. I agree with him 100%. And frankly, who are we to argue with Sports Illustrated? Let’s just give him the award now.
On a side note, it seems like there have been a lot of Longhorns on sports covers over the past year or so. I guess it is a good time to be an athlete down in Austin. So who will be the next Longhorn on a major cover? I will go with the easy choice, Colt McCoy.
