I missed most of the first half of today’s Senior Bowl but it looked like the three Longhorns represented pretty well. Jonathan Scott and Will Allen played solid on the o-line when I watched them and Cedric Griffin had a fantastic interception of a Jay Cutler pass in the end zone (video posted below). Word is Griffin and Scott are looking like 2nd or 3rd round picks and Allen might go late on the second day.

Should be suspended for multiple games next year for this.
I’m not sure how many of you caught the [tag]Alamo Bowl[/tag] between Nebraska and Michigan last night but it was a great game that ended in an unbelievable play.
Eight laterals by Michigan as they attempt to make it 65 yards on the final play of the game. The entire [tag]Nebraska[/tag] team comes onto the field about halfway through the play to celebrate what they think is a victory. One more lateral by the tight end to Steve Breaston at the end and we might have had a play they’d be talking about for years and years.
You really have to see it to believe it, one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen on a football field.

Vince was on PTI yesterday for their “Five Good Minutes” segment. Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon ask him about his frustration during the A&M game, how important the Heisman is to him, his childhood, whether he’s headed to the pros, and more. The university definitely has turned on the PR machine the last week or so for his Heisman campaign. He’s been on TV at least twice (Best Damn and PTI) and made the covers of both ESPN the Magazine and Sports Illustrated. I’m sure he’s done the national sports radio rounds as well. Let’s hope the media takes notice and then he goes out on Saturday and shows them of what he’s capable of.

In a game where the Horns scored 70 points, it was surprisingly difficult to find a “Play of the Game.” Texas was pretty methodical on offense and didn’t really have any huge runs or passes. Michael Griffin’s punt block was exciting but it was already a 49 to 3 game at the point.
Today’s play of the game goes to the 31-yard touchdown pass from Vince Young to Limas Sweed that put the nail in Colorado’s coffin early in the second quarter. Great protection from the offensive line, good pass by Young into tight coverage, and an impressive grab by Sweed.

As they say, a picture is worth a 1000 words. If you know any OU fans that are complaining about the Texas Tech touchdown, just show them this picture. (OU still has justified beef about that 4th and 3 play though.)

Thanks to AgRyan04, we now have video of the touchdown. Still looks like a touchdown to me.
Note: Video requires Flash Player 8 be installed in order to play properly.
The Fox Sports guys discuss the three main Heisman candidates.
