Playdough vs. Dawg Wonder

Playdough vs. Dawg Wonder

Now that you have heard the great OU Sucks songs, it’s time for the Red River Rap Battle put on by Quick DFW. This year we have a goofy looking dude who goes by Playdough (seriously?) representing Texas, and some punk named Dawg Wonder representing Oklahoma. The funniest quote comes from Dawg Wonder though:

“If I where to fight my battle opponent in the ring: Have y’all actually seen Playdough? Unless he knows karate, I’d murder him.” I kind of agree with him on that one.

Check out the audio below and be sure to head on over to Quick DFW and vote for your favorite rapper.

OU Sucks

Well there definitely isn’t as much fanfare going into the Red River Rivalry this weekend with both teams losing last week, but that doesn’t mean we still can’t start some of the trash talking between the schools.

Chance McClain from Sports Radio 610 down in Houston The Houston Chronicle hooked us up last year with some nice OU suckage songs from his band Apollo XVIII. So here are the songs, None Suck Better and OU Sucks. Both equally great. The lyrics to None Suck Better are available after the jump.

Ricky Williams was on ESPN Radio’s Dan Patrick Show at the ned of last week and his interview with Dan and Keith Olbermann was incredible. Ricky sounds intelligent and introspective and I’m really rooting for him again to get that chance to prove people wrong in the NFL.

The first 15 minutes of audio is Ricky and the last 10 is Dan and Keith discussing it. Listen to the entire thing below:

It appears Ricky is finally comfortable being Ricky Williams and he’s found ways to deal with the celebrity and stress that comes with being an NFL superstar. Sounds like Dan and Keith were pretty impressed with him, and like them I hope Ricky is able to keep things together when the full pressure of the NFL comes back.

Update: Anybody else having issues with the Odeo player? If so use the player below:

Vince Young logo

Vince Young talks about his life on and off the field, starting in the National Football League, the on-field adjustment from the college to the pro game and his thoughts on the new Reebok “When Did I Know? campaign where he explains when he knew he was destined to make it to the next level. Here is the audio from the interview:

It’s pretty cool what Vince Young and Reebok are doing at his old high school, Madison High School in Houston, TX. Vince is teaming up with Reebok to award two students who reflect Reebok’s brand attributes with an “I Am What I Am” college scholarship in the amount of $2,500 each. It’s always good to see athletes’ who make a lot of money give back to their community.

This is by far the funniest Real Men of Genius commercial I have ever heard, but maybe that is because it is more relevant. It’s hard to stop laughing after listening to this.

My favorite line: Sure, there are 49 other states in the union, but they’re smaller, wussier, and the people talk funny.

OU Sucks

It doesn’t get much better than listening to some OU sucks songs during the week leading up to the [tag]Oklahoma[/tag] game. And Chance McClain from Sports Radio 610 down in Houston has hooked us up with some nice OU suckage songs from his band Apollo XVIII.

Some background on Apollo XVIII. Chance McClain and Frank Bullington comprise the band and both went to UT for a total of about 5 semesters. Chance went on an academic scholarship in the Plan II program and failed out spectacularly. Frank had equal success. But both of them left the 40 acres with our horns up, forever bleeding burnt orange. If you want to hear more of their stuff, check them out on MySpace.

So here are the songs, None Suck Better and OU Sucks. Both equally great. The lyrics to None Suck Better are available after the jump.
